Heidi Zimmerman is Executive Director of the Association of Water Technologies (AWT). Her association management duties include strategic planning, Board governance and Committee management, communications outreach, membership retention and promotion, and budgeting. Heidi joined AWT after serving as the Program Manager for the Securities and Exchange Commission Historical Society. Prior to that, Heidi worked for the National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems as the Director of Programs and Research, where she handled convention management, program development and strategic marketing. Heidi brings to AWT a strong knowledge of financial management, membership development and public relations. Heidi received her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2008. She is a former member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) AMC Section Council. Heidi received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Fordham University and has a Masters degree in Nonprofit Management from Trinity College.

Sara L. Wood joined AWT in 2016 after spending more than a decade at the National Court Reporters Association, where she most recently served as the director of membership and marketing. Throughout her association career she has gained a wide range of experience with multiple areas of association management, and her professional passions include strategic planning, leadership development, and digital marketing. Sara received her Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification in 2012. An active member with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), she is the Education Subcommittee chair on the Membership Section Council. Additionally, she was selected to be part of ASAE's NextGen class of 2016. Sara holds a bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of Mary Washington and an MBA from the Saunders College of Business of Rochester Institute of Technology.

Angela Pike

Angela Pike, our Scottish import on staff, is the Senior Member Services Manager for the Association of Water Technologies (AWT). She is responsible for membership promotion and retention, committee management, the certification program, and is the day-to-day "face" of AWT. Her organizational skills, "can-do" attitude and terrific sense of humor make her a great addition to AWT. Prior to joining AWT, Angela worked as an Executive Officer at The Registers of Scotland in Edinburgh, Scotland where she was responsible for ensuring that title deeds to land and real estate were probative before being registered in the Scottish Land Registry. After moving to the U.S. in 1985, she went to work for the UK Ministry of Defence at the British Embassy in Washington, DC. As Head of the Visit Clearance and Industrial Security Office, she served as the day-to-day liaison between the U.S. Department of Defense and the UK Ministry of Defence on government and industry security matters.

As Vice President of Meetings, Grace L. Jan, CMP, CAE, is primarily in charge of site selection and contract negotiations and oversees the annual meeting. With over 25 years of meeting planning experience, Grace has worked for two other associations, the Water Environment Federation and the American College of Cardiology, as their Meetings Manager. Grace's experience has provided her with outstanding skills in meeting and trade show management, handling conferences ranging from 200 to 30,000 attendees. Grace received her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2008 and her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 1997. She is currently a member of the Associated Luxury Hotels (ALHI) Industry Advisory Council, the Fort Worth Destination Advisory Board, and the Destination Hotels & Resorts (DH&R) Association Advisory Council. Grace has served as a Past Chair of the Association of Meeting Professionals (AMPs) and a past member of the Convention Liaison Council's (CIC) Certified Meeting Professionals Board of Directors, American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Industry Partners Alliance, Omni Hotels Advisory Board and various CVB Boards. Grace is also a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). She received her B.A. in Economics with a minor in French at the College of William and Mary.

Barbara Bienkowski, CEM, comes to AWT with over 12 years of specialized experience in all aspects of sponsorship and exhibit sales and management for over a dozen large and small organizations in the association, medical, and government markets. As AWT’s exhibits and sponsorship manager, she is responsible for designing floor plans, and supervising the on-site operations of the exhibit hall. Prior to these roles, Barbara worked in the marketing department for the Eastern Region of Infiniti Division of Nissan Motor Corporation. There she was introduced to the world of event planning and sport marketing, which shaped her career and passion for the exhibition industry. Barbara attained the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) designation from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, where she is an active member.

Brandon Lawrence is an exhibit sales coordinator assisting the meetings team in exhibition and sponsorship management. He has a passion for putting the customer first and ensuring that their needs are met. Brandon graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in tourism administration with a focus on sport management. Prior to joining MSP, he worked in the campus recreation field at George Washington University and the University of Idaho.

Morgan is the meeting planner AWT providing a full range of services from speaker management to meeting logistics. She graduated from SUNY Morrisville with a BBA in Resort and Recreation Service Management. Prior to Management Solutions Plus, Morgan was the Special Events and Membership Coordinator at a private community outside of Asheville, North Carolina.

As a meeting planner, Kristen Jones provides a full range of meeting planning and logistic services. She prides herself on delivering fully tailored and exceptional customer service. With many years managing meetings and events, Kristen has been the leading force in executing a wide range of events, from high-profile sporting events to black tie affairs. As an experienced event producer, she has mastered the ability to take a proactive approach when managing even the most minute detail. Prior to joining AWT, Kristen worked as an event coordinator, partnering with numerous Fortune 500 companies visiting the greater Washington, DC area. Kristen is a Syracuse University graduate with a dual bachelor of science degree in marketing management and public relations. She also has a master of tourism administration with a focus on event and meeting management from George Washington University.

Heather is a communications and advertising sales executive with a background in conflict resolution, non-profit management, higher education and organizational change. Her work experience spans community-based project start ups, non-profit mergers, grant writing, branding and event management. She currently serves as National Advertising Director. Heather has leadership experience and a Master's Degree in Conflict Resolution, and a Master's Certificate in Organizational Change, with a specialization in Conflict Resolution Education training and curriculum development.

Julie Hill joined the AWT staff as marketing director in 2010, bringing more than 20 years of marketing experience to. With a combined background in both nonprofit and private industries, she approaches every project as an opportunity to gain maximum visibility — no matter what size the budget. Julie has developed successful rebranding campaigns for associations; redesigned websites; and marketed conferences, membership, publications, designation and educational programs, awards, and leadership programs. Her expertise includes designing in-depth marketing strategies and plans, developing budgets, writing copy, working with and directing the production and implementation process, and measuring campaign results. She loves working and collaborating with member volunteers.

Technical Editor Lynne Agoston joined the AWT staff in 2013. She is a creative and versatile communications professional who brings more than 20 years of experience to AWT. Lynne ensures that all AWT products are of the highest quality. AWT benefits from her keen attention to detail in editing all work products, effective communication and organizational skills, and her ability to juggle tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Prior to AWT, Lynne spent 16 years at a consulting firm, where she managed a variety of projects for government and private sector clients and served as the company’s managing editor and one of its quality assurance officers. Her past experience also includes two years as a senior staff assistant for the National Governors Association, where she helped governors build consensus on a variety of environmental issues.

Dawn Rosenfeld

Dawn Rosenfeld serves as accountant for all clients under the MSP umbrella. She processes payments and invoices on a daily basis, troubleshoots and provides analysis to keep all accounts running smoothly. Dawn brings 16 years of financial experience to the job. She previously worked as an analyst in the billing department of GE Information Services/GXS, analyzing billing data and running the department's billing programs. Dawn pays keen attention to detail and brings a high level of integrity to her daily job functions. When not working with the accounts at MSP, she volunteers for many activities related to her three children. Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The American University.
